Its Been Said to be the "Boring Sport" but not for These 12 Student-Athletes.
12 New Jersey Families Celebrate with their Teenage Children on being Awarded the Zoned Scholarship to Make their College Student-Athlete Dreams Come True.
BRIDGEWATER, N.J. May 23, 2019 -- Many have seen the average baseball mom or softball dad. They spend their nights in the bleachers, sitting through countless innings, enduring all kinds of weather, cheering on their kids with reckless abandon -- all in the hopes that their little slugger might one day make it big.
That Big Day, Scholarship Day, is happening all week where student-athletes from all over the state will be surprised with a Zoned Scholarship. Zoned is pleased to announce that this year will be their 13th Annual Scholarship Week, and for the graduating seniors, it will be one of the most special days of the year! This year $12,500 (twelve thousand five hundred dollars) in Scholarships are awarded to athletes in recognition of their athletic accomplishments, educational success and work within their communities. These scholarships are applicable to each recipient's first year of matriculation.
"These scholarships recognize athletes who have succeeded in far more than baseball and softball," said Duke Baxter of Zoned. "They recognize each of these athletes as well-rounded individuals, whose accomplishments reach well beyond the diamonds they play on. They are true champions in their schools, homes and communities. These scholarships provide a way for us at Zoned to recognize and give back to these young role models, as well as for those who will follow in their footsteps in years to come."
The Zoned Baseball/Softball Scholar-Athlete Scholarship Award is an annual scholarship awarded based on a thorough application process. Athletes must be of outstanding character, integrity and in leadership positions on their baseball or softball team, as well as their communities. Academic transcripts and community service work must be provided as part of the application process.
Zoned provides premium instruction and assistance to all student-athletes to better their skills and opportunities. It looks to expand the student-athlete's possibilities for achievement and success. Zoned is committed to help student-athletes take themselves successfully to the next level. The time period will encompass the early development stages, high school, college, and through lessons learned, to become a productive citizen in their communities. The Company looks to provide a long term, trusted, and respected resource to the student-athlete.
