2019 Zoned Signing Day

Zoned Signing Day 2019

Dreams Came True February 2019

Zoned Sports Academy, located in Bridgewater, NJ hosted its 5th annual Signing Day for all the graduating seniors heading into their freshman year of college year next fall. Signing Day at Zoned Sports was created to give every student-athlete a chance to “sign.” Not everyone has an opportunity to sign a National Letter of Intent (NLI), and this is a great opportunity for all the student-athletes to get together to celebrate their accomplishments! Accompanied by their family members, the staff at Zoned called up each student-athlete individually. After taking a photo, each recipient signed a certificate of excellence and received their very own Signing Day framed Jersey to represent the high school they are currently attending and the college they will be attending.

Zoned is proud to announce that there were 45 student-athletes moving on to play baseball and softball at the collegiate level, 44 of which attended Signing Day. Piscataway, Watchung Hills, Bridgewater, Warren Hills, Governor Livingston, J.P. Stevens, Stroudsburg, Delbarton, Montgomery and Scotch Plains – Fanwood were just some of the high schools represented. Of the 45 signees, some colleges that were represented included Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, Penn State Berks, Drew University, Appalachian State, The University of North Carolina, Gettysburg College, TCNJ, Franklin and Marshall, Seton Hall University, St Johns University and many more. A special thanks to Mayor Hayes of Bridgewater for speaking and The NY Sports Science Lab for sponsoring the event. .

For the 5th consecutive year, Signing Day at Zoned Sports Academy was a success! Each year, thousands of new faces walk through the door at Zoned with the hopes and aspirations of playing in college and making it to the Big Leagues. “It is our ultimate goal to see our kids play collegiately, and we take pride in seeing so many of our student-athletes enter the next chapter in their academic and athletic careers. Some of these kids have trained with us for over 10 years and we are so proud to see them move on” said owner, Duke Baxter.

Each day, the staff members at Zoned embark on a new journey with young athletes in hopes to develop them both on and off the field. Their job is to help train them in baseball and softball, as well as helping them to find the right academic fit moving forward. We look forward to all our future Signing Days and wish our class of 2019 the best of luck on their college careers!

Our 5th annual Zoned Signing Day was a huge success! It was an amazing night at Zoned as student athletes walked down the isle and signed A Zoned Signing Day Certificate and received an Award of Achievement.
