Zoned High School Athlete Update (April 18th)

Throughout the Landscape of New Jersey High School Baseball and Softball there are plenty of young athletes who call their winter training home Zoned Sports Academy. These student-athletes and the Zoned Sports staff work tirelessly to improve their craft and prepare them for the spring season. Here is an update on some of the Zoned trained athletes succeeding this week:

Sohil Patel went 3-for-4, including two doubles, with two RBI for Franklin. Garrett Callaghan hit two doubles. Sean Gonzalez went 2-for-3.

Greg Verano and Mike Capra delivered back-to-back, two-out RBI singles in the bottom of the sixth inning as Bridgewater-Raritan defeated Westfield, 3-0, in Bridgewater.

Jeff Praml took over from there holding the opposition scoreless over 5 1/3 innings, scattering two hits and three walks while striking out two to pick up the win.

Mike Ukrainskyj slugged a sixth inning grand slam to end the game for Seton Hall Prep. Justin Miller was 2-for-3 with a three-run home run, Brenden Weiss went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI and Patrick O'Hare was 2-for-3 with two runs and a RBI.

Softball-

Megan Tomaselli went 3-for-4 with two RBI to lead Bound Brook to a 6-4 victory over Middlesex in Bound Brook

Deanna Centi went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI to lead Bridgewater-Raritan, No. 5 in the NJ.com Top 20, to an 8-1 victory over Somerville in Bridgewater.

Lindsey Warick delivered a two-run home run in third inning and Nicole Majewski picked up three hits, including two doubles, a run and an RBI as South Brunswick edged Sayreville, 5-3, in Sayreville.
