Zoned First Annual Signing Day Recap!

A few weeks back, one of my students and I were walking out of the cage after a hitting lesson. She was approached and asked where she was going to college. She responded, saying “Boston College” and the man said “WOW! That’s awesome, when do you sign?” She wasn’t going to sign at her high school and told me how great it would be if she could sign here at Zoned. For 8 years, she has been coming to Zoned to train with me and I couldn’t think of a better idea than to have her and all of our 2015 graduates sign right here with us!

For 12 years, we have had hundreds of student-athletes train with us and move on to play collegiate baseball and softball. What a great idea for our coaching staff here at Zoned to be able to experience this incredible time with both our students and their families! This was my way of saying thank you to each of you personally. Over the years we have trained together, built relationships, worked extremely hard through the good times and the bad. To see you all move on to college is the most rewarding part of our job. It’s why we do what we do!

We loved the idea and all worked very hard to make our First Annual Signing Day a great success! From Division I through Division III, we want to give all of our students an opportunity to sign! Everyone that moves on to play should be given this opportunity… and we are extremely fortunate to have shared this experience with you all! A Certificate of Excellence was personally made for each of the 33 players and was given to them all as they went up front to take their picture and sign our Zoned Class of 2015 Signing List. It was an amazing night and the amount of pictures and smiles that filled the room were endless! My staff and I worked extremely hard to make last night a memorable for you all and I’m really excited about the feedback we’ve gotten via emails, texts and phone calls!

33 of our students are moving on to play collegiately & we were able to share last night with 30 of them. There was a total of $1,240,000.00 aided to those 33 players and we couldn’t be more proud! Thank you all for sharing last night with us and we hope you all enjoyed it as much as my staff and I did!
