April 21st RedHawks Recap + Player of the Week

Nolan was 1-3, threw 5 innings of 1 run ball, stole 4 bases, and scored 2 runs.

The Zoned Redhawks Red took on the Redhawks Black in Bridgewater for the Battle at Prince Rodgers. It was a tight well played game for both teams. The Redhawks Red got on the board first when Brandon Radice led off with a double and advanced to third on a wild pitch. With 2 outs, Nick Celli drove a line drive up the middle scoring Radice putting the Redhawks Red up 1-0. That would be the only lead of the game for the Redhawks Red as the Redhawks Black would get on the board with a David Kurzrock RBI double over the left fielder's head scoring Nolan Leger to tie the game at 1-1. Later that inning Redhawks Black would take the lead when Kurzrock scored on a Redhawks Red error. With the score 3-1 going into the bottom of the 6th, the Redhawks Red still had some fight left in them. Radice led off with a single and Ryan Stadler moved him over to second. Celli then came through again for the Red squad ripping a line drive over the left fielders head scoring Radice and pulling the Redhawks Red within 1. Unfortunately, that would be the end of the scoring for the Redhawks Red as the Redhawks Black would add an insurance run in the top of the 7th securing the lead and a 4-2 victory.
